A 2-day companies exhibition and networking opportunity focusing on the key drivers of economic and sustainable development. In the innovative venue of MiCo, Milano Convention Centre, Connext will be the platform for shared value creation, where Confindustria's ability to connect and to offer vision and growth potential to enterprises will be made available at first through virtual networking and then by bilateral business meetings, in a dynamic and stimulating context.

Marketplace and matchmaking for companies

Companies from Germany, Morocco and Eastern Europe are welcome to attend Connext for free. They will be assigned a dedicated space to hold the b2b meetings with the Italian companies. They can access the exhibitor show floor and they can participate to all the workshops and panel discussions in the program during the two days event. Companies’ registration to Connext will give access to the B2B Matchmaking Platform, to directly meet Italian counterparts.

In view of the 2-day event in Milan and until December 2019, this virtual marketplace will be open to companies for:

Registering and entering the company profile presentation, all made available online to registered participants;
Viewing all other registered profiles;
Identifying possible partners, among the registered Italian companies, for matchmaking;
Requesting, Accepting or Rejecting B2B meetings with the Italian companies during the 2 days event in Milan;
Consulting the online meetings agenda;
Receiving updates and notifications on post-event activities (follow-ups and customer satisfaction survey).

Confindustria has identified four thematic areas to best express its growth and development vision:

Smart manufacturing

Smart manufacturing is innovative, sustainable and interconnected. This sector has integrated Industry 4.0 "enabling technologies" into production processes, creating a connected system in which machines, people and information systems interact to create innovative products, services and work environments. Smart manufacturing aims at improving the quality of products and processes and manage the entire production cycle, from design to customer satisfaction. Integrated services, logistics and distribution have become strategic variables to rationalise the production process and better meet the needs of the end customer.

Metropolitan areas as drivers for development

Today, cities are becoming the driving forces behind global economic and social development: urban areas produce over 60% of Gross Domestic Product and consume almost 90% of resources. Metropolitan areas therefore represent the ideal base to face challenges related to energy, urban regeneration, environmental services and mobility.

Sustainable development on a local level

Sustainability is one of the key drivers affecting policies, innovation and investments. It is a challenge that companies must face head-on in order to meet the needs of our new society. On a local level, this challenge can become an opportunity to carry out projects to modernise the transport system, logistics and infrastructure, to protect the area, to ensure an increasingly efficient use of resources and to enhance the landscape and cultural heritage of a country.

The location of companies will depend on the type of booth selected:

  • Companies that select the free "Expo B2B Station" will be positioned in the area dedicated to foreign delegations and will have a table for B2Bs.
  • Companies that purchase an "Expo Booth" will be positioned within the thematic area of interest indicated during the purchasing process.

No, foreign companies will have B2B meetings exclusively with Italian companies.
